An engineer by profession, he is a musician by choice, who ultimately one day decided to give up every all other avenue of success to continue spreading happiness. From here the journey changes, a commoner becomes A Sufi with his approach towards life and way of living. Since the desire of winning and fear of losing no more exists, now he freely lives his life serving his art and expressions. He says, ‘an art that does not bring you salvation, is a curse’.
Bhavin Shastri is honored by the title of “Shahenshah-E-Sufism” (the king of Sufi songs) in not only the state of Gujarat, or India in fact across borders for his magical Sufi singing. Connection to his inner self is easily visible when he is performing, singing his heart out. The listeners sway in amazement and drown in devotion when the sufi shahenshah pours his heart out. However, on asking him about this honour he says how can one divide sufism in levels. It’s all about richness of compassion, love and devotion.
